Count John VII of Oldenburg to the king Christian IV of Denmark: complaint about the license given by Carsten Bake to Bremen merchants for the harbour Neswage in Iceland for three years. Although the count has never officially asked for renewal of the Oldenburg license after the previous king's death, his merchants have always behaved themselves well, and he sees no reason to give the harbour to Bremen.

Governour Brostrup Gedde of Iceland to Bremen: relates how he came to Iceland as the new governour, and found out that Carsten Bake was given Snæfellsnessýsla by the former governour Hinrick Kracke. Bake protested against removing him from office, so therefore a new letter of warranty is required from Bremen to continue his position.

Moreover, Gerdt Dreyer is summoned to pay the money he still owes to Bake because of shipped goods, plus the tolls which he still owes to the former governour Hinrick Kracke. Finally, the new governour Brostrup Gedde demands a new letter of consignment from Bremen in order to retain his position as sysselman in Snæfellsnes.
