[Bremen]

Verdict of the Bremen city council in the case about the death of Cordt Hemeling on Shetland, in which it is decided that Gerdt Breker should fulfill the conditions set out in his obligation towards his warrantors Johan Beling and Brun Oldenburg, but that he is free to raise a suit against Gerdt Hemeling, the brother of the deceased skipper, and the ship's crew.

In sacken twisschen Dirick Wittinge, anwalden Johan Belinges unde Brun Oldenborges sampt der anderen ohrer mede krigesvorwanten eins, unde Dirick van Mynden, anwalden Gerdt Brekers, beklageden anders, deres van wegen der borgetucht unde lovede, welck de klegere vor den boklageden in Hytlande up sin zustendige forderent gedan,1 bekennet ein erbar radt na fletiger erweginge der acten vor recht, dat de beklagede, schuldig, sine borgen schadelos tho benemen, idoch, unaffgesneden sinet in actis, angetogener insage de ohme hie mede ambtes halven vorbeholden werden, jegen des schipperen ├čeliger Cordt Hemelinges broder unde fruntschup, welcke de borgen ferderen des gelicken ock, tiegen de anderen boslude, de mede up deme schepe gewesen sampt, edder sunderlick nochmals vortobringen, unde schelen middeler wile, alle sine des boklageden gudere ludt siner gegevenen obligation tho behoff der borgen, in pandlicker were bliven, unvorringendt, unde unvorandert beth tho utdracht der sacke.
